Following the March 13 announcement that Metro Manila will be quarantined, the March 15 notification of imposition of curfew hours, further ‘enhanced community quarantine’ (ECQ) as of March 17, and the subsequent extensions until May 30, MyTown is taking additional precautionary measures beyond earlier measures taken since January, effective immediately.
The General Community Quarantine, starting June 1, enabled us to loosen certain restrictions, but movement is still restricted and tenants are to comply to 'new normal' guidelines.
On August 2, the government decided to return to a modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) again until August 18, which has resulted in some additional restrictions in movemenet and closures of certain amenities. Since then, a gradual loosening of quarantine restrictions have taken place. These are explained further below.
We are committed to making the impact to you resulting from these additional measures as limited as possible. Nevertheless, our primary goal is your health and safety during your stay at MyTown, and we, therefore, seek your support and understanding while we continue to serve you.
We have compiled the following resources to keep you updated on any developments, and guide you through the quarantine:
To ensure the safety and health of your fellow tenants, you must inform the reception of your symptoms without undue delay. It is your responsibility to seek professional medical help when you meet any of the following criteria:

2.2 Nearby Medical Facilities:

3.3 My contract of lease will end within the Luzon-wide quarantine period. How can I now renew my contract? For those who ended their contract during the ECQ, MyTown has kept your left behind items safe and will endorse them to you when you visit us again.
3.4 WGiven the nationwide spread of COVID-19, what measures are being taken by MyTown to mitigate risk of spread and infection to its tenant population? As early as at the beginning of this year, we have taken additional measures to ensure we minimize the risk of covid-19 entering and spreading in our premises, including:

3.6 I am sick. How do I report this? In the event that you or your roommate are sick or showing symptoms of COVID-19, it is your responsibility and moral duty to report it to the Front Desk of your building immediately. The Front Desk personnel will do probing to provide you with better assistance, and require you to report to the barangay or nearest medical facility, depending on local regulations.
3.7 I’ve been granted a work from home setup by my company. Is there wifi available? MyTown provides free but limited Wi-Fi access ideal for browsing only at strategic locations inside its buildings. 4.2 Operations of Amenities. To avoid groups gathering in confined spaces, and in compliance with IATF guidelines, several of our amenities will be closed until further notice. The following amenities have reopened as of Sep 1, but (i) social distancing shall be enforced, and (ii) there is a limit on number of tenants who can enter, which we have indicated on signs at the entrances:
4.3 No Quarantine Zone. MyTown units cannot be used for quarantine purposes. You will not be allowed to enter the premises and will be assisted for immediate hospital admission if you have been evaluated as Patient Under Investigation (PUI). Do not walk around or near others as it may exacerbate contamination. Furthermore, you will not be allowed to use MyTown as a place for home quarantining if you have been evaluated as Person Under Monitoring (PUM).
4.4. Curfew. MyTown will impose the same curfew and other community quarantine restrictions on its tenants as the Local Government Units that MyTown buildings are located in impose on its residents:
There are some simple measures you can adopt to reduce the risk of getting coronavirus. Most people who become infected experience mild illness and recover, but it can be more severe for others. Take care of your health and protect others by making the following a habit, as recommended by the WHO:
5.1 Wash your hands frequently
Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them
with soap and water.
Why?
Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills
viruses that may be on your hands
How?
Click here for a demonstration video of proper hand washing
technique.
5.2 Maintain social distancing
Maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing
or sneezing.
Why?
When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth
which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets,
including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.
5.3 Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
Why?
Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer
the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can
make you sick.
5.4 Practice respiratory hygiene
Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means
covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze.
Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
Why?
Droplets spread virus. By following good respiratory hygiene you protect the people
around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19.
5.5 If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care
early
Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek
medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health
authority.
Why?
This will protect you and help prevent spread of viruses and other infections.
